✧ There was a woman whom the enemy had taken captive, and they used to bring their camels back in the evening. She came to the camels wanting a camel from them to ride, but every time she approached a camel it bellowed, so she left it until she came to a she-camel among them that did not bellow, and she rode it. Then she escaped and arrived in Madinah. When the people saw her, they said: "The she-camel of the Messenger of God ﷺ, al-'Adba'." She said: "I vowed to slaughter it if God [Mighty and Majestic] saved me on it." He said: "What a bad reward you have given it. There is no vow for a son of Adam in what he does not own, and no vow in disobedience to God [Mighty and Majestic]."
