حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

فِي الْمُكَاتَبِ يَعْتِقُ مِنْهُ بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ، وَبِقَدْرِ مَا رَقَّ مِنْهُ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ

Translation

  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ Concerning a mukatab (slave with a contract of manumission), he is freed in proportion to what he has paid, so his blood money is that of a free man, and in proportion to what remains of his servitude, his blood money is that of a slave.
