✧ A man asked or came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting with his head bowed, and said, 'What is fighting in the path of Allah, Mighty and Majestic? For one of us fights out of zeal and anger, so is there a reward for him?' He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his head to him, and had he not been standing or sitting – the doubt is from Zuhayr – he would not have raised his head to him. Then he said, 'Whoever fights so that the word of Allah may be supreme is in the path of Allah, Mighty and Majestic.'
