حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بَعَثَ مُعَاذًا، وَأَبَا مُوسَى إِلَى الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ: بَشِّرُوا وَلَا تُنَفِّرُوا، وَيَسِّرُوا وَلَا تُعَسِّرُوا، وَتَطَاوَعَا وَلَا تَخْتَلِفَا قَالَ: فَكَانَ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا فُسْطَاطٌ يَكُونُ فِيهِ يَزُورُ أَحَدُهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ.

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ sent Mu'adh and Abu Musa to Yemen and said: "Give glad tidings and do not repel; make things easy and do not make them difficult; and cooperate and do not differ." He said: "Each of them had a tent in which he stayed, and one would visit the other."
