حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مُؤَمَّلٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ عُبَيْدًا أَبَا عَامِرٍ فَوْقَ أَكْثَرِ النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ: فَقُتِلَ عُبَيْدٌ يَوْمَ أَوْطَاسٍ، وَقَتَلَ أَبُو مُوسَى قَاتِلَ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو وَائِلٍ: أَرْجُو أَنْ لَا يَجْمَعَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بَيْنَ قَاتِلِ عُبَيْدٍ، وَبَيْنَ أَبِي مُوسَى فِي النَّارِ

Translation

✧ O Allah, place ʿUbayd, Abū ʿĀmir, above most people on the Day of Resurrection. He said: ʿUbayd was killed on the day of Awṭās, and Abū Mūsā killed the killer of ʿUbayd. He said: Abū Wāʾil said: I hope that Allah, mighty and majestic be He, will not bring together the killer of ʿUbayd and Abū Mūsā in the Fire.
