machine translationAbū Salamah b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Abū al-Zinād narrated it from him, and there is disagreement about Abū al-Zinād. Ṣāliḥ b. Kaysān, Yūnus b. Yazīd and ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī al-Zinād narrated it from Abū al-Zinād, from Abū Salamah, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Nāfiʿ b. ʿAbd al-Ḥārith, from Abū Mūsā. Waraqāʾ differed from them, and narrated it from Abū al-Zinād, from Nāfiʿ, who is not the freed slave of Ibn ʿUmar, from Abū Mūsā, and he did not mention Abū Salamah in it, and its chain was not sound. Muḥammad b. ʿAmr narrated it from Abū Salamah, from Nāfiʿ b. ʿAbd al-Ḥārith, from the Prophet ﷺ, and he did not mention Abū Mūsā. The correct view is the view of Ṣāliḥ b. Kaysān and those who followed him.
