✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ stood among us with five words and said: 'Indeed God, exalted is He, does not sleep, and it is not befitting for Him to sleep. But He lowers the scale and raises it. The deeds of the night are raised to Him before the deeds of the day, and the deeds of the day before the deeds of the night. His veil is light; if He were to remove it, the splendors of His face would burn everything of His creation that His sight reaches.'

machine translationYaḥyā b. Salamah b. Kuhayl narrated it from his father, that a narrator had narrated to him, from ʿAmr b. Murrah, from Murrah, from Abū Mūsā. Some of the narrators made an error (wahima) in it. The correct version is what al-Aʿmash, Shuʿbah and others narrated from ʿAmr b. Murrah, from Abū ʿUbaydah b. ʿAbdillāh, from Abū Mūsā.
