✧ I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the game of the mi'rad (a sharp-edged arrow or spearhead). He said: What it strikes with its edge, then eat; and what it strikes with its side is a waqidh (beaten to death), so do not eat. And I asked him about the game of the dog. He said: When you send your dog and mention the name of Allah over it, and it holds the game for you, then eat. If you find with it another dog besides yours, and it has killed the game, and you fear that it may have seized it together with your dog, then do not eat, for you mentioned the name of Allah only over your dog, and did not mention it over the other.
