حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ دِينَارٍ يَذْكُرُ عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ

أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ وَالْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ كَانَا شَرِيكَيْنِ فَاشْتَرَيَا فِضَّةً بِنَقْدٍ وَنَسِيئَةً فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَمَرَهُمَا أَنَّ مَا كَانَ بِنَقْدٍ فَأَجِيزُوهُ وَمَا كَانَ بِنَسِيئَةٍفَرُدُّوهُ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Yaḥyá b. Abū Bukayr
  2. Ibrāhīm b. Nāfiʿ
  3. ʿAmr b. Dīnār
  4. Abū al-Minhāl

✧ Zayd b. Arqam and al-Barā' b. 'Āzib were partners. They bought silver for cash and on credit. That reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he ordered them: "Whatever was for cash, approve it, and whatever was on credit, return it."
