✧ The Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'Will you not relieve me of Dhu al-Khalasah—a house belonging to Khath'am that was worshipped in pre-Islamic times, called the Ka'bah of Yemen?' He said: 'So we set out against it with one hundred and fifty riders.' He said: 'We destroyed it or burned it until we left it like a mangy camel.' He said: 'Then Jarir sent word to the Prophet ﷺ giving him the good news.' He said: 'When he came to him, he said: "By the One who sent you with the truth, O Messenger of God, I did not come to you until we left it like a mangy camel."' He said: 'He blessed Ahmas and its horses and men five times.' He said: 'I said: "O Messenger of God, I am a man who cannot stay firm on horses." So he placed his hand on my face until I felt its coolness and said: "O God, make him a guide, rightly guided."
