حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ

إِذَا أَبَقَ إِلَى أَرْضِ الشِّرْكِ - يَعْنِي: الْعَبْدَ - فَقَدْ حَلَّ بِنَفْسِهِ، وَرُبَّمَا رَفَعَهُ شَرِيكٌ

Translation

✧ When [a slave] flees to the land of polytheism - meaning the slave - then he has made himself liable, and perhaps Sharik raised it [in the chain].
