✧ That a man from the Ansar came to the Prophet ﷺ with a purse of gold that filled what was between his fingers, and said: This is for the sake of God, Mighty and Majestic. Then Abu Bakr ؓ stood up and gave, then Umar ؓ stood up and gave, then the Muhajirun stood up and gave. He said: The face of the Messenger of God ﷺ shone until I saw the radiance in his cheeks. Then he said: Whoever initiates a good practice in Islam and it is acted upon after him, he will have the like of their rewards, without any of their rewards being diminished. And whoever initiates an evil practice in Islam and it is acted upon after him, he will bear the like of their burdens, without any of their burdens being diminished.
