حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلَاةٍ لَيْسَتْ بِفَرِيضَةٍ، فَمَرَّ بِذِكْرِ الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ، فَقَالَ: أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ النَّارِ، وَيْحٌ - أَوْ: وَيْلٌ - لِأَهْلِ النَّارِ

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reciting in a non-obligatory prayer, and he mentioned Paradise and Hell. Then he said, "I seek refuge in Allah from the Hellfire. Woe to, or destruction be upon, the people of the Hellfire."
