حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْقُشَيْرِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ

مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُسْلِمَةً فَهِيَ فِدَاؤُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ: مَكَانَ كُلِّ عَظْمٍ مِنْ عِظَامِ مُحَرَّرِهِ بِعَظْمٍ مِنْ عِظَامِهِ، وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ أَحَدَ وَالِدَيْهِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يُغْفَرْ لَهُ فَأَبْعَدَهُ اللهُ، وَمَنْ ضَمَّ يَتِيمًا مِنْ بَيْنِ أَبَوَيْنِ مُسْلِمِينَ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ: إِلَى طَعَامِهِ وَشَرَابِهِ حَتَّى يُغْنِيَهُ اللهُ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ

✧ Whoever frees a Muslim slave, it is his ransom from the Fire. ʿAffān said: In place of every bone of the bones of the one he freed, a bone of his own bones. And whoever reaches one of his parents and then is not forgiven, may God distance him. And whoever takes in an orphan from between two Muslim parents—ʿAffān said: into his food and drink until God makes him self-sufficient—Paradise is assuredly guaranteed for him.
