حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ

الثَّيِّبُ أَحَقُّ بِنَفْسِهَا مِنْ وَلِيِّهَا، وَالْبِكْرُ يَسْتَأْمِرُهَا أَبُوهَا فِي نَفْسِهَا، وَإِذْنُهَا صُمَاتُهَا

✧ A previously married woman has more right to her own person than her guardian, and for a virgin, her father asks her consent regarding herself, and her consent is her silence.
