✧ I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when two men came to him disputing about some land. One of them said, “This man encroached on my land, O Messenger of Allah, in the time of ignorance. He is Imru' al-Qays b. 'Abis al-Kindi, and his opponent is Rabi'ah b. 'Abdan.” He said to him, “Bring your proof.” He said, “I have no proof.” He said, “Then his oath.” He said, “Then he will take it.” He said, “You have nothing but that.” When he stood up to swear, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever seizes land unjustly will meet Allah, Mighty and Majestic, on the Day of Resurrection while He is angry with him.”
