حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ

أَصْبَحَ النَّاسُ لِتَمَامِ ثَلَاثِينَ يَوْمًا، فَجَاءَ أَعْرَابِيَّانِ فَشَهِدَا أَنَّهُمَا أَهَلَّاهُ بِالْأَمْسِ عَشِيَّةً، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ النَّاسَ أَنْ يُفْطِرُوا

Translation

✧ The people began the fast after thirty days had been completed. Then two bedouins came and testified that they had sighted the new moon the previous evening, so the Messenger of God ﷺ commanded the people to break their fast.
