حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جُنْدُبَ بْنَ سُفْيَانَ يَقُولُ
شَهِدْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الْعِيدَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَ فَقَالَ: مَنْ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فَلْيُعِدْ أُضْحِيَّتَهُ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَذْبَحْ فَلْيَذْبَحْ عَلَى اسْمِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ

✧ I attended the Eid with the Prophet ﷺ on the Day of Sacrifice. Then he gave a sermon and said: 'Whoever slaughtered before we prayed should repeat his sacrifice, and whoever has not slaughtered should slaughter in the name of God, Mighty and Majestic.'
