حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جُنْدُبًا الْبَجَلِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ
أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى ثُمَّ خَطَبَ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ كَانَ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فَلْيُعِدْ مَكَانَهَا أُخْرَى، وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ: فَلْيُعِدْ أُخْرَى، وَمَنْ لَا فَلْيَذْبَحْ عَلَى اسْمِ اللهِ تَعَالَى
Translation

✧ He witnessed the Messenger of God ﷺ praying, then delivering a sermon. He said: 'Whoever slaughtered before we prayed, let him repeat another in its place'—and sometimes he said: 'let him repeat another'—'and whoever has not, let him slaughter in the name of God Most High.'
