حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَعَفَّانُ، قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ جُنْدُبٍ، قَالَ:

أَصَابَ إِصْبَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ شَيْءٌ - وَقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ: حَجَرٌ -، فَدَمِيَتْ، فَقَالَ: هَلْ أَنْتِ إِلَّا إِصْبَعٌ دَمِيتِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ مَا لَقِيتِ

Translation

Chain of narrators

Something struck the Prophet's ﷺ finger - Ibn Jafar said: "a stone" - and it bled. So he said, "You are only a finger that has bled, and what you have suffered was in the path of Allah ﷻ."
