✧ My father, Juhayfah.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ بِلَالًا يُؤَذِّنُ وَيَدُورُ، وَأَتَتَبَّعُ فَاهُ هَاهُنَا وَهَاهُنَا، وَإِصْبُعَاهُ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ، قَالَ: وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي قُبَّةٍ لَهُ حَمْرَاءَ، أُرَاهَا مِنْ أَدَمٍ، قَالَ: فَخَرَجَ بِلَالٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ بِالْعَنَزَةِ، فَرَكَزَهَا، فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

Translation

✧ I saw Bilal giving the call to prayer and turning, and I was following his mouth here and here, with his two fingers in his ears. He said: And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in a red dome of his, which I think was made of leather. He said: Then Bilal came out in front of him with the short spear and fixed it, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed.
