حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ

وَادَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمُشْرِكِينَ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ عَلَى ثَلَاثٍ مَنْ أَتَاهُمْ مِنْ عِنْدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَمْ يَرُدُّوهُ، وَمَنْ أَتَى إِلَيْنَا مِنْهُمْ رَدُّوهُ إِلَيْهِمْ، وَعَلَى أَنْ يَجِيءَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنَ الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ وَأَصْحَابُهُ فَيَدْخُلُونَ مَكَّةَ مُعْتَمِرِينَ، فَلَا يُقِيمُونَ إِلَّا ثَلَاثًا، وَلَا يُدْخِلُونَ إِلَّا جَلَبَ السِّلَاحِ: السَّيْفِ وَالْقَوْسِ وَنَحْوِهِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ made a peace treaty with the polytheists on the day of al-Ḥudaybiyah on three conditions: that whoever came to them from the Prophet ﷺ they would not return, and whoever came to us from them we would return to them; and that the Prophet ﷺ and his companions would come the following year and enter Makkah as pilgrims, staying no more than three days, and entering only with sheathed weapons: the sword, the bow, and the like.
