Musnad Ahmad 18591

Translation

✧ A man was reciting Surat al-Kahf in his house, and beside him was a horse of his tied with two ropes, until a cloud overshadowed him. It kept coming closer and closer, until his horse began to shy away from it. The man said: I was amazed at that. When morning came, he went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him, and told him the story. The Prophet ﷺ said: That was the sakinah, it descended for the Quran.
