حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي وَسُفْيَانُ وَإِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ كُنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ

كُنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّ عِدَّةَ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَانُوا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ عَلَى عِدَّةِ أَصْحَابِ طَالُوتَ يَوْمَ جَالُوتَ، ثَلَاثَمِائَةٍ وَبِضْعَةَ عَشَرَ الَّذِينَ جَازُوا مَعَهُ النَّهَرَ، قَالَ: وَلَمْ يُجَاوِزْ مَعَهُ النَّهَرَ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ

Translation

✧ We used to say that the number of the companions of the Messenger of God ﷺ on the day of Badr was the same as the number of the companions of Talut on the day of Jalut: three hundred and some ten, those who crossed the river with him. He said: And no one crossed the river with him except a believer.
