حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَسَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْقُلُ مَعَنَا التُّرَابَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ وَيَقُولُ: اللَّهُمَّ لَوْلَا أَنْتَ مَا اهْتَدَيْنَا وَلَا تَصَدَّقْنَا وَلَا صَلَّيْنَا فَأَنْزِلَنْ سَكِينَةً عَلَيْنَا إِنَّ الْأُلَى قَدْ بَغَوْا عَلَيْنَا إِذَا أَرَادُوا فِتْنَةً أَبَيْنَا يَمُدُّ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was carrying earth with us on the Day of the Trench and saying: 'O Allah, had it not been for You, we would not have been guided, nor given charity, nor prayed. So send down tranquility upon us. Indeed the foremost have transgressed against us. If they desire a trial, we refuse.' He extended his voice with it.
