✧ A man married a woman and then died before consummating the marriage or naming a dower for her. 'Abd Allah was asked about her and said, 'She is entitled to a dower like that of one of her peers, without deficiency or excess, and she inherits, and she must observe the waiting period.' Abu Sinan al-Ashja'i stood up among a group from Ashja' and they said, 'We bear witness that you have ruled in this matter with the same ruling as the Messenger of God ﷺ in the case of Barwa' bint Washiq.'
