✧ al-Nu'man bin Bashir on the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

الْمُؤْمِنُونَ كَرَجُلٍ وَاحِدٍ إِنِ اشْتَكَى رَأْسُهُ اشْتَكَى كُلُّهُ، وَإِنِ اشْتَكَى عَيْنُهُ اشْتَكَى كُلُّهُ

Translation

✧ The believers are like a single man: if his head aches, all of him aches; and if his eye aches, all of him aches.

Dāwūd: 147 AH. Wakīʿ said, and more than one: 148 AH. And al-Khaṭīb considered it correct. Also said: 145 AH
