✧ al-Nu'man bin Bashir on the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍعَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْجُمُعَةِ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَهَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ فَرُبَّمَا اجْتَمَعَ الْعِيدُ وَالْجُمُعَةُ فَقَرَأَ بِهَاتَيْنِ السُّورَتَيْنِ

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ that he used to recite in the Friday prayer: “Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High” and “Has there come to you the report of the Overwhelming?” And sometimes the Eid and the Friday coincided, so he recited these two surahs.
