✧ My father Bashir b. Sa'd carried me to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, bear witness that I have given al-Nu'man such-and-such,' a thing he named. He said: He said, 'Have you given all your children the like of what you gave al-Nu'man?' He said, 'No.' He said, 'Then call someone other than me as a witness.' Then he said, 'Would it not please you that they be equal to you in dutifulness?' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Then no.'
