حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ رُوَيْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ قَالَ: أَخْبِرْنِي مَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ. قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: لَا يَلِجُ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ قَالَ: آنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْهُ ؟ قَالَ: سَمِعَتْهُ أُذُنَايَ وَوَعَاهُ قَلْبِي، فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ: وَاللهِ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ
Translation

✧ A man from the people of Basra asked him: 'Tell me what you heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say.' He said: 'I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: No one will enter the Fire who prays before the rising of the sun and before it sets.' He said: 'Did you hear it from him?' He said: 'My ears heard it and my heart retained it.' The man said: 'By God, I heard him say that.'
