حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ قَالَ اسْتَشَارَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ النَّاسَ فِي مِلَاصِ الْمَرْأَةِ قَالَ فَقَالَ

الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَضَى فِيهِ بِغُرَّةٍ عَبْدٍ أَوْ أَمَّةٍ قَالَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ ائْتِنِي بِمَنْ يَشْهَدُ مَعَكَ قَالَ فَشَهِدَ لَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  2. Hishām b. ʿUrwah from his father
  3. al-Miswar b. Makhramah

✧ Al-Mughira b. Shu'ba said, “I witnessed the Messenger of God ﷺ judge in it [the case of the fetus] a ghurra, a male slave or a female slave.” He said, “Then Umar said, ‘Bring me someone to testify with you.’” He said, “Muhammad b. Maslama testified for him.”
