حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ الْعَقَّارِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَمْ يَتَوَكَّلْ مَنِ اسْتَرْقَى وَاكْتَوَى وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ اكْتَوَى

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Sufyān
  2. Ibn Abū Najīḥ
  3. Mujāhid
  4. al-ʿAqqār b. al-Mughīrah b. Shuʿbah from his father

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: "He has not put his trust in God who seeks ruqya or cauterizes." Sufyan said twice: "Or cauterizes."
