حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدَةَ وَعَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ
سَمِعْنَا وَرَّادًا كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ يَعْنِي الْمُغِيرَةَ كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ مُعَاوِيَةُ اكْتُبْ إِلَيَّ بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ يَعْنِي الْمُغِيرَةَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Translation

✧ We heard that Warrad wrote to him, meaning al-Mughira: Mu'awiya wrote to him: "Write to me something you heard from the Messenger of God ﷺ." So he wrote to him, meaning al-Mughira: The Messenger of God ﷺ used to say: "There is no god but God alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things."
