حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ ابْنِ سَوْقَةَ عَنْ وَرَّادٍ مَوْلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَكَتَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ

أَنْ اكْتُبْ إِلَيَّ بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْسَ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ أَحَدٌ قَالَ فَأَمْلَى عَلَيَّ وَكَتَبْتُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللهَ حَرَّمَ ثَلَاثًا وَنَهَى عَنْ ثَلَاثٍ فَأَمَّا الثَّلَاثُ اللَّاتِي نَهَى الله عَنْهُنَّ فَقِيلَ وَقَالَ وَإِلْحَافُ السُّؤَالِ وَإِضَاعَةُ الْمَالِ

Translation

✧ To write to me something you heard from the Messenger of God ﷺ with no one between you and him." He said: So he dictated to me and I wrote: I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: "God has forbidden three things and prohibited three things. As for the three that God prohibited: gossip and idle talk, importunate begging, and wasting wealth."
