✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came upon me while I was kindling a fire under a cooking pot, and lice were falling onto my face – or he said: onto my eyebrows – and he said: ‘Do the vermin of your head bother you?’ He said: I said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘Then shave it, and fast three days, or feed six poor persons, or sacrifice an animal.’
