حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ هَارُونَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَسْلَمَ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ عَنْ هُبَيْبِ بْنِ مُغْفِلٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ

أَنَّهُ رَأَى مُحَمَّدًا الْقُرَشِيَّ قَامَ يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ هُبَيْبٌ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: « مَنْ وَطِئَهُ خُيَلَاءَ وَطِئَهُ فِي النَّارِ

✧ He saw Muhammad al-Qurashī standing and dragging his lower garment, so Hubayb looked at him and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever treads on it out of pride will tread on it in the Fire."
