✧ Three things I solemnly affirm, and I will tell you a hadith, so memorize it. He said: As for the three things that I solemnly affirm: charity does not diminish the wealth of a servant; no servant is wronged with an injustice and endures it patiently except that Allah [Mighty and Majestic] increases him in honor because of it; and no servant opens a door of begging except that Allah opens for him a door of poverty. As for the hadith I will tell you, so memorize it, he said: The world belongs to four types of people: a servant whom Allah [Mighty and Majestic] granted wealth and knowledge, so he fears his Lord regarding it, maintains his ties of kinship through it, and knows Allah's [Mighty and Majestic] right in it. He said: This one is in the best of stations. He said: And a servant whom Allah granted knowledge but did not grant wealth. He said: He says, 'If I had wealth, I would act as so-and-so does.' He said: Their reward is equal. He said: And a servant whom Allah granted wealth but did not grant knowledge, so he blunders with his wealth without knowledge, not fearing his Lord [Mighty and Majestic] regarding it, not maintaining his ties of kinship through it, and not knowing Allah's right in it. This one is in the worst of stations. He said: And a servant whom Allah granted neither wealth nor knowledge, so he says, 'If I had wealth, I would act as so-and-so does.' He said: That is his intention, so their burden in that is equal.
