✧ The ruling of b. Amr al-Ghaffari

حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ قَالَ قَالَ أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَمِيمَةَ عَنْ دُلَجَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ
أَنَّ الْحَكَمَ الْغِفَارِيَّ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ مَرَّةً: أَتَذْكُرُ إِذْ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ، وَالْحَنْتَمِ، وَالْمُقَيَّرِ، وَالنَّقِيرِ ؟ قَالَ: وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الْمُقَيَّرَ، أَوْ ذَكَرَ النَّقِيرَ، أَوْ ذَكَرَهُمَا جَمِيعًا.
Translation

✧ That al-Hakam al-Ghifari said once to a man: Do you remember when the Messenger of God ﷺ forbade al-dubba', al-hantam, al-muqayyar, and al-naqir? He said: And I bear witness. And he did not mention al-muqayyar, or he mentioned al-naqir, or he mentioned both together.
