حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ أَبِي مَعْقِلٍ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ أُمَّ مَعْقِلٍ فَاتَهَا الْحَجُّ مَعَكَ، قَالَ: فَحَرَجَتْ حِينَ فَاتَهَا الْحَجُّ مَعَكَ، قَالَ: فَلْتَعْتَمِرْ فِي رَمَضَانَ، فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ كَحَجَّةٍ

✧ He said: O Messenger of Allah, Umm Ma‘qil missed performing Hajj with you. He said: She has set out after missing Hajj with you. He said: Let her perform ‘Umrah in Ramadan, for an ‘Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to a Hajj.
