حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ مَوْلَى عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ

إِذَا حَكَمَ الْحَاكِمُ وَاجْتَهَدَ ثُمَّ أَصَابَ فَلَهُ أَجْرَانِ، وَإِذَا حَكَمَ وَاجْتَهَدَ ثُمَّ أَخْطَأَ فَلَهُ أَجْرٌ

✧ When a judge judges and strives [to reach the right ruling] and then gets it right, he has two rewards; and when he judges and strives and then errs, he has one reward.
