✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned with Abdullah ibn Rawahah, but he did not find a place on his bed, so he said, "Do you know who the martyrs of my Ummah (nation) are?" They said, "The killing of a Muslim is martyrdom." He said, "Indeed, the martyrs of my Ummah are few. The killing of a Muslim is martyrdom, and the plague is martyrdom, and a woman is killed by her child while they are together."

machine translationMy father said: Shuʿbah narrated it from Abū Bakr b. Ḥafṣ, from Ibn al-Faṣīḥ or Abū al-Muṣbiḥ, from Ibn al-Simṭ, from ʿUbādah, from the Prophet ﷺ. My father said: This is more likely correct; there is no sense in (mentioning) Abū Ṣāliḥ. ʿAmr did not retain it accurately, whereas Shuʿbah did. This is a hadith from the hadiths of the people of Syria, and he is Abū al-Muṣbiḥ al-Maqrāʾī, from Shuraḥbīl b. al-Simṭ, from ʿUbādah.
