حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيَّ يَذْكُرُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّوَّاسِ بْنِ سَمْعَانَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْبِرِّ وَالْإِثْمِ، فَقَالَ: « الْبِرُّ حُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ، وَالْإِثْمُ مَا حَاكَ فِي نَفْسِكَ، وَكَرِهْتَ أَنْ يَطَّلِعَ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِ
