حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْمُرَقَّعُ بْنُ صَيْفِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ أَخِي حَنْظَلَةَ الْكَاتِبِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي جَدِّي
« مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ تُقَاتَلُ » ثُمَّ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ « انْطَلِقْ إِلَى خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ فَقُلْ لَهُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ يَأْمُرُكَ أَنْ لَا تَقْتُلَ ذُرِّيَّةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا" نوع="مرفوع"/>
Translation

He also narrated it from al-Mughīrah, from Abū al-Zinād, from al-Muraqqiʿ, from his grandfather Rabāḥ; and from Sufyān al-Thawrī, from Abū al-Zinād, from al-Muraqqiʿ, from Ḥanẓalah the scribe. He said: It is said that the hadith of Sufyān from Abū al-Zinād is an error (wahm).
