✧ Ya'ala bin Mura Althaqafi on the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مُرَّةَ قَالَ
رَآنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا مُتَخَلِّقٌ بِخَلُوقٍ، فَقَالَ لِي: « يَا يَعْلَى، مَا هَذَا الْخَلُوقُ ؟ أَلَكَ امْرَأَةٌ؟ » قَالَ: قُلْتُ: لَا، قَالَ: « فَاذْهَبْ فَاغْسِلْهُ عَنْكَ، ثُمَّ اغْسِلْهُ، ثُمَّ اغْسِلْهُ، وَلَا تَعُدْ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ saw me while I was perfumed with khaluq. He said to me: "O Ya'la, what is this khaluq? Do you have a wife?" He said: I said: "No." He said: "Go and wash it off, then wash it, then wash it, and do not do it again."
