✧ Ya'ala bin Mura Althaqafi on the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي جُبَيْرَةَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ سِيَابَةَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّ بِقَبْرٍ فَقَالَ: « إِنَّ صَاحِبَ هَذَا الْقَبْرِ يُعَذَّبُ فِي غَيْرِ كَبِيرٍ » ثُمَّ دَعَا بِجَرِيدَةٍ، فَوَضَعَهَا عَلَى قَبْرِهِ، فَقَالَ: « لَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يُخَفَّفَ عَنْهُ مَا دَامَتْ رَطْبَةً
Translation

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ passed by a grave and said: "The occupant of this grave is being punished for no great matter." Then he called for a palm stalk, placed it on his grave, and said: "Perhaps it will be lightened for him as long as it remains moist."
