✧ We asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ three things, and he did not grant us a dispensation. We said: Our land is a cold land, so we asked him to grant us a dispensation regarding purification, and he did not grant us a dispensation. We asked him to grant us a dispensation regarding the gourd, and he did not grant us a dispensation regarding it at any time. And we asked him to return Abu Bakrah to us, and he refused and said: 'He is the freed one of Allah and the freed one of His Messenger.' Abu Bakrah had gone out to the Prophet ﷺ when he besieged al-Ta'if and became Muslim.
