ʿUqbah b. ʿĀmir al-Juhanī from the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَبِيلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُشَّانَةَ الْمَعَافِرِيِّ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ كُتِبَ لَهُ بِكُلِّ خُطْوَةٍ يَخْطُوهَا عَشْرُ حَسَنَاتٍ، وَالْقَاعِدُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَنْتَظِرُ الصَّلَاةَ كَالْقَانِتِ، وَيُكْتَبُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّينَ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ

Translation

  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ Whoever goes out from his house to the mosque, for every step he takes ten good deeds are written for him. The one sitting in the mosque waiting for prayer is like the one constantly obedient, and is written among those who pray until he returns to his house.
