حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَابِسٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ: يَا ابْنَ عَابِسٍ، أَلَا أُخْبِرُكَ بِأَفْضَلِ مَا تَعَوَّذَ بِهِ الْمُتَعَوِّذُونَ ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: بَلَى. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ وَ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ هَاتَيْنِ السُّورَتَيْنِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: 'O Ibn ʿĀbis, shall I inform you of the best with which those who seek refuge seek refuge?' I said: 'Yes.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak' and 'Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind'—these two surahs.
