✧ Al-Miqdam b. Ma'di Karib and 'Amr b. al-Aswad came as a delegation to Mu'awiya. Mu'awiya said to al-Miqdam, "Did you know that al-Hasan b. 'Ali has died?" Al-Miqdam said, "Truly, to God we belong and truly, to Him we shall return." Mu'awiya said to him, "Do you consider it a calamity?" He said, "Why would I not consider it a calamity, when the Messenger of God ﷺ placed him in his lap and said, 'This one is from me, and Husayn is from 'Ali'?"
