✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ gave us an exhortation that made the eyes weep and the hearts tremble. We said: “O Messenger of God, this is the exhortation of one bidding farewell, so what charge do you give us?” He said: “I have left you upon the clear path; its night is like its day. No one deviates from it after me except one who is destroyed. Whoever of you lives will see much disagreement, so upon you is what you have known of my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided, rightly directed caliphs. And upon you is obedience, even to an Ethiopian slave. Bite onto it with the molar teeth, for the believer is like a camel with a nose-ring: wherever it is led, it follows.”
